Sako, Gooik

This brewery was initially located on a farm in Bogaarden, the oldest building of which dates from the late 1830s. In 2018, Koen Christiaens made his first brews. Initially he only produced top-fermented beers. With the expert help of Willem Van Herreweghen, former brewmaster at Palm-Rodenbach and founder of gueuze blender De Cam, Koen brewed his first lambic in 2021, which resulted in his first old gueuze in 2023. In the same year, the brewery moved into a farm in Gooik.
