Moriau, Sint-Pieters-Leeuw

Gueuze blendery Moriau was founded in Sint-Pieters-Leeuw in 1880 by beer blender Johannes Moriau. He was then also employed as a beer bleender at the Merlo Brewery in Vorst.

This blendery closed its doors on March 1, 1983. The company became a beer merchant house where sporadic gueuze was still blended until 1993. Afterwards, De Neve Brewery took over production until 1994. Today, the Geuze Moriau is produced at Boon.
