Domaine Holvast, Asse

Winery Holvast was founded in 2001. It is located in the rolling landscape of Asse. The hills consist of sandy loam soils, which are alternately followed by an iron sandstone layer with lime fractions and boulders. Below that is the ‘Clay of Asse’.

In 2001, father and son Holvast opted for resistant varieties, of which the Regent grape still survives today. Since 2015 they have app. two hectares of vines. Since then, they have planted three grape varieties from the Champagne region: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. In recent years they have specialised in making white and rosé wines.
